*To insure consistent, high-quality translation or interpreting services, potential clients should research the field and endeavor to learn as much as possible about the qualifications of those they may hire. Few people realize, for example, that being bilingual or teaching a foreign language does not automatically qualify an individual for work as a translator or interpreter. Indeed, speaking more than one language may represent a first step in the right direction, but much needs to be added.


While well-intentioned individuals may attempt to undertake translation or interpreting work on behalf of their company or organization, generally speaking, the final products should be handled with caution.
